It is increasingly common within organizations that you decide how (and where) you want to develop. Employers demand that you know what you want and what contribution you can make. Standard jobs hardly exist anymore, so more research is needed. For twenty-somethings, millennials and fifty-somethings alike. In order to meet the demands that job and organizational developments place on you as a highly educated employee, it is necessary to regularly reflect on your drives and competencies. We would like to teach you how to take matters into your own hands.
You are welcome at Styx for Development Advice and the Career APK (Dutch for annual checkup). An examination sounds a bit strange of course, but in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a moment's pause is very effective. Is everything functioning as it should? Do I need to make adjustments? Does something need to be replaced? The career APK is an excellent basis for shaping your career maintenance. The objective of the career APK is to gain thorough insight into your capacities, motivators, interests, communication style and development opportunities in an accessible, careful and fast manner. You get answers to questions such as: what gives me energy? And what doesn't? And what are the positive effects of my qualities?

WHAT EXACTLY DO I WANT?
Paying attention to your career makes it clear whether you are (still) in the right place, where you can and want to develop and what contribution you want to make. The Development Advice (temporary subsidy scheme from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment) gives you insight into your strengths and desired roles and indicates how promising you can be on the job market. It involves four interviews with one of our career coaches. This includes the components of the Career APK and a so-called Labor Market Scan. The Labor Market Scan calculates your current and future employment opportunities. You will also receive topics for your performance appraisals, PDP and/or job interviews. The general periodic maintenance gives you new energy and keeps you in charge of your own career!
Sometimes you can shift tasks in your current position. This is called jobcrafting and freely translated means: tinkering with your function. You do that yourself, with your own job, or in a team. after all, it may be that a job and a team that suited you well three years ago now, for whatever reason, no longer suits you. Before you immediately start doing something completely different, it may be useful to investigate which parts of your job no longer fit and whether you can do something about it. We would like to help you with that investigation.
